Music and literature, in all their various forms, generally reflect and convey not only what was happening in the time and world in which they were written, but more specifically what was happening in the composers frame of reference. As a young pianist I was weaned on classics like Rachmaninoff's "Prelude in C Sharp Minor" and "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. Switching to guitar in the 60's I learned from Peter, Paul, and Mary; the Ventures, and The Beatles. After leaving the Navy Band as a guitarist in 1969, I went to study with Frank Mullen, John Marlow (a protégé of Segovia's), and Dennis Sandole (with whom John Coltrane, Pat Martino, and so many other jazz giants have studied with). I stand on the shoulders of some very great men.

Consisting of over two hundred and fifty original compositions, arrangements, and transcriptions; the music and books in my catalog not only reflect the input of these men, but also all of the other aspects of my life. From new classics for guitar to musical theater. From jazz guitar to marching band. From the blues to ancient music from the Psalms—there is something for everyone in here. Collectively, these works are a thumbnail overview of my life. The individual works—a single slice of time. My audio recordings are available from iTunes, printed sheet music and scores from SheetMusicPlus, and my books from Amazon. I sincerely hope you enjoy The Music and Words I Wrote Along the Way. Now take me to the Catalog.
